Seat Covers

Did you come out of class to find a BikeMoves seat cover on your bike?  Since our last blog post, the BikeMoves team canvassed many University of Illinois campus hotspots with our bike seat covers.  If you received a seat cover, make sure you have downloaded the app in the Google Play Store or iOS App Store, and signed up for our e-newsletter on the BikeMoves website!  Unfortunately, our supply of bike seat covers is gone for 2016, but read on to see how you can win a bike shop gift card!

WCIA 3 News Coverage

Thanks to WCIA 3 News for interviewing the BikeMoves team about the app!  The story highlights how Champaign-Urbana is the pilot community for BikeMoves Illinois, with plans to roll it out statewide.  Therefore, your continual use of the app and feedback helps us improve the app for all Illinoisans.  Also discussed is the “Report Incident” feature, where you can report an issue on your ride that might need to be fixed, such as a cracked road surface or low tree branch.

Safety Town Survey

Champaign-Urbana is looking at the possibility of building a bicycle safety town in Douglass Park, 512 E. Grove St. in Champaign.  A safety town is a miniature town with various health and safety related programs tailored to different age groups.  Champaign-Urbana area residents are invited to take a short survey on what features you might want to see in a local safety town.  The survey is open through Monday, October 31, 2016.
